Tell us a little bit about yourself (family, job, hobbies, interests, etc.):
I’m married to Joseph Polsky (the guy with the shorty shorts) and we have 3 fur-babies (Tex, Patches and Quill). I’m getting more into CrossFit (and hoping to do the open this year!), love movies, and am up for random fun activities with my husband and friends. I cheer loud and proud for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and am known to yell at the TV during football games.
When did you first start training at CrossFit Urban Jungle and what was your first WOD? How was it?
January 2015; Rowing and Ring Rows
What was your athletic background before CF?
Cheered in school and competitively for 7 years
What is your kryptonite?
Burpees..wall balls come in close second

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CrossFit?
Endurance is getting better over time, toning overall and I can do a pull ups again! Before the wedding, I was even running a mile on my own for a bit (which would normally never happen). 🙂

Any advice for people just getting started or new to CrossFit?
Don’t be scared to try it! The coaches are wonderful at scaling and working with you to get you started into the program and work your way up in weight and movement.
Something you might not know about me:I can be super competitive (I’m not always as quiet as I am at the gym).
